TrackingPoint App

TrackingPoint App ShotView App

Available for Download Spring 2013

The TrackingPoint App performs several functions:

  • Configures your PGF and adds updates
  • Transfers shot videos to your smart phone
  • Allows for the most accurate shots possible
  • Lets you lock out advanced features when storing the firearm

See more details about each function below. The TrackingPoint App makes the Precision Guided Firearm more than just a way to outshoot the competition. It unlocks new features as they become available, so the Precision Guided Firearm gets even better over time.

Configures Your PGF

The app configures your Precision Guided Firearm by...

  • Updating your onboard software
  • Changing your video-recording options
  • Enabling additional functionality as it becomes available in the future

Transfers Videos

The app relays video of your long-range shots to your smart phone. From there, you can share them with the world.

Here’s how it works:

  1. On your PGF, go to settings.
  2. Select wifi.
  3. Select Networked Tracking Scope.
  4. Go to the TrackingPoint App.
  5. Press the download videos tab.
  6. Wait until all downloads are complete. (The dynamic download fill bar will stop running.)
  7. On your smart device, go to photos to view thumbnails of your videos and select the ones you want to share.
  8. Use the features of your smart device to share your videos.

Enhances Shot Accuracy

The TrackingPoint App allows your Networked Tracking Scope to correct for the Coriolis effect. It determines how much the Earth will rotate while your round is in flight. Then it corrects your point of aim for that motion.

Here’s how it works:

  1. When you set up to hunt at a new location, connect your smart phone to the wifi server of your Networked Tracking Scope.
  2. Launch the TrackingPoint App.
  3. The app will inform your scope of the current time and location.

Locks Out Features for Storage

With the app, you can lock out the advanced features of the firearm when you store it. The features are then unavailable to unauthorized users.

Here’s how it works:

  1. You configure a passcode in the app when you’re done shooting.
  2. You put the firearm away, knowing no one else can take long-range Tag Track Xact shots without your code.
